and other factors like frame,grip etc. The Garrett 330 grain superhammerhead ammo at 1400 fps will hit at the same point at 25 yards as the 240 standard 44 mag ammo. Of course that depends on the velocity of the standard ammo that you shoot. I have shot all four, 240, 300, 320 and 330 grain 44 bullets in my Super Red Hawk and my Red Hawk. At 25 yards all seemed to hit at POA or within an inch or so. Flinch has a lot to do with that LOL. The larger bullets usually hit high at closer ranges because they are sighted in for longer ranges. Just my observations from shooting the 44 mag. I really prefer the older I get to use the 44 spl rounds in 240 grain as they work just as well. The critter is just as dead.
