Put several hundred rounds through the Model 10

Spent a few hours having fun on the range .. I tried some different handloads from my machine rest. My machine rest is a rolled up sleeping bag on the hood of my truck.

The 160 gr. wadcutters that leaded so badly last time shot clean. I took the advice and tumbled them in Lee Liquid Alox. But I cannot get the accuracy from them that I get from the round-nose flat-point 160 gr. bullet.

There are 2 5-shot groups on this target. The first group is marked. This was typical 25 yard accuracy.

The above 2 groups are about average of what I was doing with the RNFP cast bullet. My old eyes seem not to be able to see the sights for very long. A couple good shots and then things start fuzzing ...

160 gr. cast SWC loaded with heavy 2400 load and one with Unique.

130 gr. JSP. It shoots OK. Haven't found a tack-driver load for it yet. I am gonna try it in the .357 Magnum.

The Model 10 will shoot IF I can see the sights and IF I can hold it still during letoff. Over all it seems to prefer the round-nose flat-point 160 gr. bullet.
