Took a bit of work. My little cheap hotplate just about has enough heat .. BUT .. the wind was blowing! I could have done it in the shop but I did not want to stink it up. The propane torch helped. LOTS of dirt. I got 45 pounds of lead and 12 1/2 pounds of dirt and slag.

I had cut the pan into smaller rectangles and then pounded them small enough to go into my melting pan.

I have quite a bit of really hard alloy that I will mix with this.
