other shortages besides ammo

Dies are in short supply, especially for 9mm, 45 ACP, 308, 223/5.56, 30-06, 30-30, and a lot more. We normally have well over two hundred sets of dies in stock and are down to around 60 sets. This is not counting dies for our custom cartridges.

Powder is getting scarce, some primers like small rifle and small pistol are not to be had at normal prices. Bullets have been picked over a few times and many are getting scarce.

Shotguns are nearly as hard to find as AR-15s. As is buckshot in all gauges.

Surprisingly 22 LR and 22 Magnum are not gone yet. They are getting picked over but in this shortage it is centerfire ammo that is going as quick as it comes in.

Another thing that is unusual is our hunting seasons. I have had quite a few guys tell me they are going to skip the seasons this year, even though they got some hard to get tags for deer and elk. Hunting ammo hasn't been going out the door as in past years. I don't remember selling even one box of a belted magnum this year whereas by this time in a normal year we would be getting short on several calibers.

2020 is going to be known as a rough year for conservatives and especially for gun folks. And 2021 may well be even worse as the liberals get into power. People coming in our gun shop are pissed off at the way this election has been run and how thousands of ballots, such as our military ballots, have disappeared. Once the final tally is done, if Trump is declared the loser, the shit may hit the fan. The best we can do is be prepared and carry a gun (or two) with us at all times.
God bless America

I’ll say it first. Get your magazines NOW!

I explained to a friend today how his AR-308 mags might be $100 each next year if available at all!

Common stuff is gone for the moment. How about an assault 7mm Remington Scout carbine?! 6mm Remington maybe. Go weird, go Pro!

You know a .270 is a great gun.

Common as Kraut and most bolt guns hold at least 6-rounds. It's just a .27-06, right smack in the middle of .25-.30. Many still have that ammo around.

I'd find a cashe of ammo and buy a rig for it. If I need a good gun, now, late in the game. The old 18" Remington 742's were the Redneck's holy grail around here. It didn't matter if it was a .300 Savage, .308 or .30-06. A cut down deer rifle is pretty formidable for any use.

A Marlin 783 holds 12 .22 WMR and with a light taped to the end can take deer to at least 100 yds. at night. So they tell me...how would I know...not me.

I may make it sound like we are totally out of everything

if I do I apologize. We have a good stock of ammo, powder and some primers. I took these pics about 5 minutes ago and the ammo rack is still in decent shape. The blank spots are 9mm, 45, 38 special and 30-06. I just sold several boxes of 204 and 7-08 and calibers like that are in good supply. In fact we still have that sale on the 204 ammo.

Our powder supply is dwindling. We got 104 lbs in a month or so ago and are down to less than half of that now but still a decent supply.

The dies, brass and bullets (75 & 100gr.) were just delivered today from MidwayUSA, 3-day turnaround. Have plenty of powder/primers. Put a 3x9 scope on it...

243 Win. will kill anything I plan to hunt, including 2-leggers. That and my AR's...

I am wondering as well

on the issue of trips and the like.

Are people cutting back in anticipation of a big depression if Biden is in?

He promised an awful lot of free crap and that doesn't come free.

30/30 and 35 Remington are in short supply

are afraid of what is coming and they can't afford a new gun so they are digging their old 30-30 out of the closets and buying ammo. We got 12 boxes in about a week ago and it was gone by early afternoon.
