took his Granddaughter shooting on Friday, her first shots. This photo was Saturday! Her first deer. I had talked Doug into getting a .350 Legend upper to replace his .223 he was shooting deer with. I have shot the .300 but did not really like it. The .350 mimic's the .35 Remington almost perfectly. He just dropped a .350 top unit on his S&W lower (needs a dedicated mag too), the 6-position stock really helps adjusting pull for different shooters. A good hunting rig for the South. A point of fact is the .350 Legend uses the same bolt and gas system as the 5.56, with the mentioned different mag for the straight walled round. The mag and hole in the barrel are basically the only difference in a 5.56 and a .350 Legend.

The young lady shot her critter at 70 yds. with a single 180 gr. factory Winchester load. It passed through on a lung/heart shot. You can see the performance was most commendable, much better than using Doug's .223 that he had lost a couple in the past. It's a legal round for deer in Ark.
