blast and muzzle flash but no recoil. It shoots fantastically flat. The 7mm GNR is about 85% as efficient with less powder, I love mine. Doug just sold a nice rig in .280 GNR.
I own the Prototype .440 GNR Encore tube. It's 16" with the brake. On a bear hunt in AK I took a first run FA2008 in .375 Win. Then I actually saw a Grizzly. From that moment on I only carried the .440 GNR Encore loaded with custom 300 gr. Spire Point Hawk bullets running 2300 fps ahead of H332. My "Back up" rounds were special "paper patched" .416" 400 gr. Speer solids running 1900 fps. That was all I could stand. I made (5), water proofed the paper with alox, shot two for proof of performance and sighting. I had the three Grizzly killer rounds. The Tungsten core solids cost around $10 each! But I figure for a last ditch effort...
