What's you favorite Lever Action Calibers?...

Jim's post got me to thinking about my favorite Lever Action Calibers. My favorite is my Marlin 1894 in 25-20 WCF. Like you guys didn't see that coming.

Close behind is my Henry Steel in 327 Federal and a very nice Marlin 336CB Octagon Barrel 38-55 WCF.

"Your Favorite" auto correct gets that wrong every time...

I don't have any centerfire lever actions. Colleen has one of the original Winchester model 71 in 348 so I guess that will have to work for both of us.

45/70 is a good one. 30/30 is the classic choice

I'm weird, I like the old .38 WCF

I'd give a hat tip to the .44 WCF but I sometimes mix up the cartridges with others after they are reloaded. I've never mixed up the .38-40. Man, I had a 1888 Marlin 20" in .38 WCF that I let go, OH to have it back. But I sold it for $1500 and made money.

My favorite lever gun that I own however is a modern SS1894 custom in .429 GNR. I still pine for a 1873 Winchester.

I only lack the 45 Colt in the CBC for the set,
the 44 mag in CB Ltd for the set and the
1894 CB in 32 H&R mag to have all calibers of Marlin 1894's.

Marlin, 45 Colt.
