When in Rome do as the Romans do.
That was the advice from St. Ambrose to people coming to Rome. I believe it was St. Augustine who asked how to pray in Rome. St. Ambrose response was when in Rome do as the Romans do.
SOOOOOOOO. This really means when you move to an area adopt the local culture. Do not twist or change it.
It sickens me to the core to see city people move into small towns telling everyone how they need to live.
