I'd say at least as a collector. The sight is worth a ton by itself. My favorite fact is how the 1895 was used by so many explorers and is seen in the old photos from Africa and other remote locations. Telescopic sights were of little consideration in that day. They needed a reliable handy and powerful rifle for defense and to garner game to feed the camp. The 1895 must have filled the bill to have so many in use.
