I have PPU brass and Winchester brass. The Winchester brass has considerably less capacity than the PPU. Thankfully the majority of my brass is PPU and it is easy to keep them separated.

Hopefully I can get to the range tomorrow and see if these will stay on the paper.
They look fantastic. You'd tell us if you found

"the agony of defeat"? Remember that poor soul skiing on the opening of "The American Sportsman"? I've been there.
I had a too fast twist .22 centerfire that keyholed so violently that it made a zzzzzzzzzzzz sound after firing. It grouped 3-5 inches at 50 yds. completely sideways! That was with 55 gr., with 45 gr. and under it was perfect.
I think the Russians used a oversize bore button maybe .316" until it got to about .305" where it might blow up. Then they got another. I pray yours all shoot into the same hole!
I tried the 125 gr. AK47 bullet .. it's .311"

loaded with 4831 .. running about 2200 fps. At 50 yards the best was 3 inside 4" with most shooting into a pattern about 5 to 6 inches.
So I am gonna try the heavier bullets and see how they do. The 125's were very pleasant as far as recoil. Pretty much non-existent. But dinner plate "accuracy" at 50 yards just won't quite cut it.
The barrel on this gun is about .307" at the top of the lands. Groove diameter is somewhere around .310 - .311" so we will see if the .308" bullets will slug up.
I have some 150 gr. .spitzers coming.
The absolute horror of modern rifles

being able to buy a box of cartridges off the shelf, slide them into a unmodified factory produced rifle chosen randomly, and shooting groups well under 1" at 100 yds.
What fun is there in that? Who'd want to do that?!! Bor-ING.
Some people enjoy boring!

but I don't play with it much. I take it out when I want to hit something. I set up a 5.56 fired cartridge on the 50 yard target frame. This was the first shot I fired at it.

Shoots well with bullets .308-.312". I even shoot the .312" pistol bullets over Unique.
Bet that old gun will shoot the cast or jacketed pistol bullets too.
