about the 480 Achilles. This will be especially of interest to all the shooters of the 480 Achilles ... all 4 or 5 of them.

John Killebrew of KDM (http://kdmcans.com) has designed and built a proper crimp die for the 480 Achilles. We cobbled together the old crimp die using the Lee collet die for the .45-70. We had to use a spacer to get the crimp to work and while it did the job, it was tedious.

John's crimp die works like proper crimp die requiring only the shell holder.

This is a huge improvement and will make the reloading lives of the 480 Achilles shooters much easier. Now I gotta go shoot up a bunch of ammo so I can use it!

Yep, those dies are great in factory calibers too...

A few things I've learned about them...

1) The 41 Magnum FC Die works for 41 Special.
2) The 38-40 FC Die works for the 401 GNR using bullets w/o a cannelure.
3) So far, they have completely eliminated bullet pull in my revolvers chambered in rimless rounds.
4) They are the only dies I trust to crimp bottleneck auto pistol rounds.

you say "those dies" . Whose dies are they?
