Bone Tomahawk is one BA movie you would like

Low-key, realistic Western survival horror that will make your guts squirm. Kurt Russell and Patrick Wilson are both great, for different reasons. I have given up on "Hollywood." Independent filmmakers on starvation budgets make the only movies worth watching.

UNFORGIVEN (1992) was great but might have killed off the genre. We may have to leave it to the Australians. In my opinion both THE PROPOSITION (2005) and THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD (2007) are worthy efforts but might be a little too arty to be everyone's cup of tea.
