I went out bowhunting this AM. Got in my stand before the sun rose. At 630 AM I had a doe blow at me behind my stand.

Anyways. I quit around 9AM because my feet were freezing. I am wearing Cabelas. 1200 gram rubber boots and standing on a metal stand. So that sucks the heat right out of you like nothing.

Someone suggested "electric" socks. A number of hunters swear by them for the all day hunts.

So today I plan to get a pair.

Again. I must be getting soft.

guys that complain of a back ache or some small problem that it gets a lot worse. Normally your teeth and feet go first then everything else.

this ol' boy. A ground blind in some heavy brush has worked for me for many years. And if I fall asleep in a ground blind I don't have very far to fall.

any other spray on truck bed liner guy and have him put a 1/4" coating on, or just get the materials at home depot or Lowes and do it yourself. Make it slip-free too. One thing I always make sure of, wearing heavy, high quality wool/poly blend socks that provide a bit of loft and wick the moisture from your feet. Highly important to warm feet. I hunt in un-insulated leather boots down to 10 degrees no problem here in northeast Pa.
