JT ask about the 44SP in the Rossi 92. Although I do not have one of those, I do own and use the 92 in a Trapper model in 45 Colt. I did change out the safety and slicked up the action. It makes a great “truck gun” as we call them here in Texas. I just wanted to say I could be just as happy with a 44SP. I think anyone would be happy to own one of those lightweight handy carbines, in such a fine caliber.
I kind of thought that JT might be curious about heavier cast bullets used in them. I have shot 250 cowboy stuff and moved to 325 and even a 360gr cast. The Rossi feeds them all just fine.

Thank you Charles. I don't know of

Anything handier than a Trapper Model levergun. Years ago I made up a chart showing which bullets of all weights which would fit in .45 and .44 Magnum leverguns of all makes. Of All the Trapper Guns I have shot over the years the most accurate seems to be my Marlin .45. I had a Rossi .44 Magnum cut back to Trapper length and have dedicated it for use with .44 Specials. It also feeds the Keith load with the Keith bullet bullet. A .357 Magnum levergun can also be quite handy and I had a Rossi stainless steel Model 1892 cut back and slicked up. There is nothing in Idaho which can't be handled with a 357 Magnum from a levergun. There are many things to be thankful for this year such as Faith, Family, and Friends and on the Firearms list are leverguns in all chamberings from .22 up to and including the .45-70. God bless and have a very happy Thanksgiving.

I agree 100% on a

Trapper. And to me the 357 magnum belongs in a Lever gun. Haahaha I won’t give up my S&W 27 5” though. Yes lots to be thankful for.

Talk about fun, the middle one is a 38 special.

It's all slicked up. Almost as fun as 44/40.
