an update from Charlie Herf on his daughter Allison

and her fight with cancer. I don't know if I could be so strong.

HELLO EVERYONE,
I hope this finds all of you well and enjoying our cooler weather. We spoke with Allison last evening and she had to tell us very disappointing and scary news... The MRI of last Wednesday revealed that the inflammation in her upper back /lower neck area and her headaches are the result of 6 tumors in her brain. We had been thinking her headaches were the result of the Eliquis..unfortunately, not so.she was told to stop the Eliquis today as they don't want any brain bleed happening. She had a video appt with her new oncology neuro specialist and her new radiation brain oncologist.They are at UCSD where she has been treated for the past 3 years and spoke with her yesterday, VERY positively about what they think they can do and SOON. She hopes to have another MRI Friday and might begin her radiation treatments by the end of next week. That would be great if the timeline moves along quickly..the Drs. gave her a cognitive test during the video appt and that Dr. wants to get going quickly as well.Obviously, Allison and we were devastated to hear this news but we know we must gather our strengths and be strong for Allie as she is for us. As soon as she has a timeline, she will let Patti or both of us know when to come over to her.. We will get a Covid test 3 days beforeleaving., HOPEFULLY, she will be able to drive back to Arizona for some days around Christmas.. Please RAMP UP your prayers and pray for Allison's recovery from this.
