Being a blow back system you can't monkey with

the loads too much. It can open too fast and blow a case. The higher the pressures the higher the stakes. The old WSL rounds were delayed blow back too, dating from 1905, but the counterweight was about 2 lbs! The bolt actually extends up under the hollow forend. It's a foot long! I know they have all this computer figuring but I don't see gun designers any smarter than 100 yrs. ago. I know steels can be better but hand fitting tolerances are different from CNC mitigated.

I saw one company marketing a 10mm semi and I'm not sure it was total blow-back operated. A floating breach system would seem much better to me.
