as Papa Taylor chronicled it "can" be done in an emergency or just to see if you can. But try that with your pet .300 WSM and you'll get a firing pin welded to the bolt and a face full of hot gas!

I am entertained at the folks finding out new things. Bullet casting has had an unheard of revival! Reloading in general too. While supplies are strained, it is not all a bad thing, as to validating the importance of being armed and able to fend for yourself and loved ones.

Stock up on food and TP boys it is gonna get really stupid fast.

Prayerfully it wont, I can hope in God. Plus if I was

source and has his normal mark up I have no problem with that. As long as he is not gouging. I can't blame a man for finding stock in a screwy market to have SOMETHING to sell. I'd be on the net searching for used bargains or other dealers in far parts of the country selling stuff they need cleared out.

I've noticed in some places that you can't use a deer rifle you can get a good buy on one. Also out west where a 300 yd. shot is normal, brush guns can be bought right. The internet can be used to a dealer's advantage.

Capitalism is a self regulating thing. If you find the price objectionable don't buy it. If others do the same price will come down to a level of perceived value. Folks are just going nuts and things will be screwy till the smoke clears. What good 100 primers is going to do anyone in a period of anarchy is beyond me. Maybe trade them for a biscuit? lol But it makes some feel warm and fuzzy. I have a supply enough I feel a level of comfort. I learned it's better to keep a maintenance level for just these times.

If SHTF for real all you need to do is go out with a rock and clod a NATO A-hole in the head from behind. Then you have his stuff. Problem solved. I still don't see where a brick of primers is gonna help folks. If you need it and want it, have the money, it's your choice. It may be the only ones in the county available.

Let me tell you about the time SKS's was $59 each new in cosmoline....buy 12 get one free.... (that's MY pickle barrel gun story) 35 years later they are 10x that.

That's why I won't sell Primers too...

People sit on their money or live the high life, then want those who prepared to bail them out.

Certain friends I'll share with, usually for free. But, have lost my compassion for the slugs.

I remember polytech AKs for $125 in the early 90s. Went

to a gun show in SanAntonio while there at a meeting. Guy had them in flat boxes stacked to the ceiling like pizza boxes. Each had a rifle, 2 30rnd mags, a bayonet, an oiler and a sling. For $150, you got a tuna can if ammo to boot!

If I needed them I'd pay it. What would be really dumb

Would be to reminisce about the time I saw primers for $100 and not have any and no hope of getting any. I'll bet we've all pissed away more than that on things we didn't need. Thankfully I have learned to buy things when I can get it for a future need.
I remember my dad telling about when candy bars were a nickel...

WAIT A MINUTE!! You mean candy bars aren't a nickel

the packs of 100 are all we are selling right now and they are $5 a pack. Small rifle and small pistol have been non existent.

I saw a 1000 pack of small pistol primers go for $195 on GB
