I'm sure GNR has "fixed" many unrelated things and likely engraved some odd items. I looked at this problem as a broken gun stock etc. The same application can be used to fix a gun stock too.

My wife collects Santa figurines of all types, getting one per year. This very hefty item, perhaps zinc/pewter, was from 1991, 29 years ago! He's had broken legs for probably half of that time. I found it in my junk drawer. I think I was supposed to fix it a long time ago. I finally took a stab.

I drilled holes for the JB Welding of some metal "posts" to help support the rest of the JB Weld job. I think it worked! Santa is saved!
