brought home my first marlin lever today

i had a table at a local gun show this weekend . and ending up trading a encore carbine for a marlin 1894cl in 218 bee. i,ve owned a few winchester 94s over the years but no marlins .i have around 40-50 cases dies and powder and just ordered some speer 50g flat point bullets.so i can shoot it soon [image] [image]

I am hoping that Ruger will bring out more different calibers than Marlin had before the bankruptcy sale. I would like a lever Marlin in several different hyphenated calibers, 32-20, 44-40 etc. 218 Bee is a great round. I really like the wood on that gun.

Don't try to make a Swift our of the little BEE. It can beat the Hornet coasting. Back off a little and cases will last lots longer. Calhoon makes a wonderful 30 gr. Double-HP and Barnes makes a nice light bullet, Speer does too. A lead tip pointed bullet in that little magazine won't hurt in this caliber.
