Also I noted this study (I missed it over the years) when Lot addressed the mob he called them "brethren". This pointed out he had assimilated into their society even though he did not partake in their lifestyle. The abomination had tainted everything it got close to. Including Lots family. Later Jesus Himself said it was better for those who perished in Sodom (the sinful believers) than those who deny Christ. Paraphrased but accurate.
