scope rings/bases? I have used them on some rifles up to .375 RUM (that was a test Mr. Buehler!). They consist of a round steel post about 1/4" in diameter and maybe 5/8" long under the lower scope ring. It sports about a 1/3 moon machined out of one side of the post. This "post" fits into a receiving hole in the scope bases and a lever cams over to lock or cam into that cut-out in the ring post, stuck in the base, firmly holding it locked down. If it wears, the cam just pushes deeper. I noted the "clock" hand position on the levers and got pretty repeatable results using the quick release feature.

*Do you think it would hold up to the recoil of a 5 lb. 7mm GNR handgun?

i have a set on my 41gnr#2 encore

[image]16 1/4 tapered barrel i've put around 50+ rounds of 210 xtps and 20 or 265g cast. haven't had any problems .i put them on as i thought i was going to switch between pistol and carbine. but it shoots so well as a handgun i doubt i'll ever switch.

I'm liking how sleek the bases look w/o scope

and I like the QR feature. I may find one for a Marlin (flat top) to adapt to my Wichita project. If the hole pattern is for the Marlin any base for that should work.

Hoo-boy are they pricey.

Scott, Have a 270 M-70 with the Leupold

As mentioned before I think Doug's Blaser mount with rings is around $550. Great guns though. You can even swap bolt heads, magazines, and barrels to change calibers for $2000. Unless you want iron sights, that's another $500! LOL

Man we have it good and just don't know it.

I have the QD Leupold on a 16" 7GNR G2 barrel.

Set it up with 2 scopes
One EER and one rifle. I can swap it out to suit my mood. Works great.
