The world is a smaller place with John’ s passing. Really caught me by surprise, though I realize we’re all aging every day. Hanging around him at CSA gatherings has been one of my favorite pastimes ever since I met him. Mutual friend Terry Murbach used to rag me that he’d gotten a call from Al Gore, asking him to keep John and me separated because the hot air generated by our conversation was increasing global warming. The nerve!
Always a gentleman, and a true friend. Prayers are up for Barbara and the rest of the Purcell clan.
