just got some 46g speer jfps to load for the 1894 marlin .i have data for this bullet and the following powders i have lil gun,aa1680,296/h110,and 2400.i've heard that lil gun can be hard on the brass life.so i'm thinking about aa1680 or 296 any thoughts or recomendations?

I've used 1680 since 1993 in my Ruger #1...

I also was careful to not size much, mostly neck size only. My rifle is a 43 Winchester bolt gun. 1680 and a cast 48 gr. HP is my favorite load at about 2400 fps.

& I4198, the choice would be 4198 for a lower pressure (speed too) load. Correct?

1680 is what I use in my Ruger Number 1, and have never found a reason to change....

I tried Lil’Gun in my 218 Mashburn Bee, but velocity was very erratic and accuracy was poor. My go to powders for the 218 is AA1680 and 2400.
