Couple less seen in the battery...
I've spoken of the .40 Beretta, no it has not exploded in my mits, not yet. I put the garish grips on it for a goof and to identify it from my 9mm version from 100 yds. One of its most redeeming features is the "light" on each side of the rear sight while sighting. I can see the sights! So it is very accurate for me.

The 1911 is a basically stock Springfield 1911A1 with some upgraded grips (Cocobolo ?) and a flat mainspring housing. It has an unseen extended slide release too. The short trigger and small thumb safety feel different from my others but pleasing. It's very streamlined and purposeful. I see a need no other changes for it.
