at least about 99% of the time based on my experience. I was attacked once by a Pit Bull and bitten once by a Chihuahua though.

my wife had one that bit me more than once ... the first night she got it and had it in bed with her it got up on the middle of my back while I was sleeping and peed on me!
I always kinda figure it was more demon than dog ....
