Today a quick test on POA w/ammo

I got a little closer at 20 yds. and I still can't see. The groups show my struggling with sighting. Again I should have played with just point shooting. But I think checking the ammo speed relating to the POI. It's just a touch low to where I am aiming. Lighter/faster bullets would only make it worse. I think if I backed off about 50 fps it might move up an inch or two.

I got out the Bog-Pod for later use to help Doug on his Africa practice. It's like fancy shooting sticks. It was a handy support for pistol shooting too.

It is what it is, I pine for a little light on the sides of the teeny blade. If I ever had the gun professionally refinished I'd take a file to that groove. Forgive me.

You need a holster for that fine machinery

but shortly after I acquired the piece, that was the stark thought. This is my first real Colt SAA I want to keep and now I need a good holster rig. I know Rob Leahy, and have a passing knowledge of Doc Barranti and his work through Curtis. Both do very good work, top level (and they are of each other friends too). I'm going to have to figure out what I want/need first. Maybe two!

I like the ranger type belts/holsters. I also need strap retention. Then there is black or brown, fancy or plain working, cartridge loops or a slide, pouch? The price then narrows to around $300-600! But a good rig would last a man the rest of his life. For now I just stick it in my Reeder slide, like the rest of all my guns, while I goof around close to the house.

I saw it hanging on your tripod

good quality holsters at reasonable prices,,,, that exceed the Quality of a lot of makers. CJs sell SASS stuff tell them what you have and or want.
If you want custom Purdy Gear is hard to beat.
