but shortly after I acquired the piece, that was the stark thought. This is my first real Colt SAA I want to keep and now I need a good holster rig. I know Rob Leahy, and have a passing knowledge of Doc Barranti and his work through Curtis. Both do very good work, top level (and they are of each other friends too). I'm going to have to figure out what I want/need first. Maybe two!
I like the ranger type belts/holsters. I also need strap retention. Then there is black or brown, fancy or plain working, cartridge loops or a slide, pouch? The price then narrows to around $300-600! But a good rig would last a man the rest of his life. For now I just stick it in my Reeder slide, like the rest of all my guns, while I goof around close to the house.
