no permit required for open carry or concealed. I never open carry, but have seen quite a few who do. To me it is invitation for trouble and a target painted on your back.
Some soccer mom at Starbucks, or anywhere else, will see someone open carrying and call the police, who have to come and it will cause a scene even though you are within your rights
