Last old beater M1894 I sold brought $500!
It was an ugly painted receiver post-64. So I decided to just keep one other old beater in .30-30. It’s also a mid-60’s gun, the “antique” version, well worn and patina. I just like them and have fun shooting cast bullets, every collection should have room for one 94 .30-30. It was missing the ring on the stud and I found one at work that is by golly perfectly spec. 1-1/3 diameter and just under 0.17” wire. The pre-64 is actually slightly different spec but will interchange. It’s just a ring.
Little side project. Not sure how to get it on but I’ll figure it out. Dremel cut and bend. A guy has some cut rings on GB for over $20 and the rig already together, ring and stud is close to $50. Don’t throw that stuff out if you find it, lots of folks threw them away!
Of course a $4 plug screw hides it too. With a thong of boot string leather it just adds a little western flair to an old gun that came that way.
