Couple little jobs...

I had a missing ring on my M94, not really keen on saddle rings but they just unscrew. New ones are quite expensive. A NOS ring is over $20 alone. I was rooting through a shop bin and found a ring, mic'd it and "hey I think this may work". The wire OD was round 0.17" and the hole is 0.185". So I cut it with a Dremel. I was surprised it sprung apart when I made the cut and took pressure off. But hey, it was free.

It's a little too big for the purist, 1.3" and the factory is just over 1" at around 1-1/16". It just does not look quite right. I may check with the hardware store next trip. I won't be paying $20 for a ring!

I've made several trips from shop to range and adjusting the height of this old .22's front sight. That was after opening the rear notch as much as I could. They never really intended anyone to actually shoot these with any precision. But they do shoot well for what they are. I'll check again at the range, I think I'm real close now.
