have kept my big mouth shut. This morning we have a measured 51" of snow. Colleen said it's a snow day and went back to bed. It would take me hours to dig the trucks out and clear the driveway, if at all. So I guess it is a snow day.. In the pic, Kase's car is completely buried. It is the mound to the left of Colleen's Armada.

The blue spruce in the middle of the pic is well over 8 feet tall.

I cleared about 18" of snow off the picnic table in the center of the pic. It now has another 3 feet of new snow from last night.

In drifts it is up to my chest while in areas not exposed to the wind it is a measured 51". Like John said, I think I will throw another log on the fire and call it a snow day.

Enjoy the peace and rest.

get to work tomorrow. I got the GMC 4X4 truck unburied. Now to get Colleen's Armada out from under several feet of snow. Years ago I bought one of the commercial snow blowers that clears about 40" of snow at a time. I have it warming up and if I am lucky I can get our drive (all 75 yards of it) at least cleared a little. Enough to get 2 of our trucks out.

I know it sounds like a lot of work but I actually enjoy it. It is a challenge to beat Mother nature. And as soon as I thaw out it is fun time again.

Gary, I enjoy it too. Our drive is 1.5 miles long and it

usually takes me around 5 hours clearing it with my tractor. I also clear an elderly woman's drive that adds a half of a mile to the total. Had to buy a set of chains for the tractor a few years back. I got it stuck. The snow was so heavy that the tractor wouldn't push it. We haven't had any snow to speak of for the past 2 years. I miss the challenge.

That's a lot of snow!

West Central Arkansas. We always miss the snow and ice by 50-80 miles all the time.
