I wonder if the longer cases were pushing

the limits on headspace and not letting the locking lugs close consistently. Too short cases might get into inconsistent ignition and longer ones not letting lock up return to the same for each shot. Modern Glocks spec at the far end of SAAMI limits. They can easily headspace off the extractor too for shorter cases. They shoot about anything with exceptional accuracy. If you could get a Glock in some fixed rest I have no doubts they could shoot sub 2" groups at 50 yds. I have done that with my Glock in .45 and 10mm, scoped off the bench. They are not normal guns like 1911's. There is no reason they should shoot as good as they do but there you go.
