of the picture for another couple of months, they are probably one of the finest made. BUT I have reservations about the company itself. Back in the late 70s nobody had heard of Burris except handgun hunters. They made great handgun scopes in 1X, 2X, 3X and so on up to 10X along with 3 variables,, so they were the most popular scopes going. Handgun hunters put them on the map. Recently in the last few years they have thrown the handgun hunters under the bus. Except for the long eye relief 2X they have dropped all the rest of the line up of long eye relief scopes (LER). Instead they introduced a couple of intermediate eye relief (IER) scopes that are great for shooting at the bench but useless in the field. I have written them letters but never got an answer.
In the past I have bought a lot of LER Burris handgun scopes off the internet and if they had problems they fixed them under their "lifetime warranty". These days they tell me they have no parts for LER scopes so you are shit outa luck. Their "lifetime warranty" is obviously for the lifetime of a mouse, not people.
So yes their rifle scopes are excellent. I just don't like the folks that make the decisions.
