A little show and tell since the smoke has cleared...

I am very sentimental and find this piece a true treasure. It's a custom heavyweight 6mm, not sure if my twists are slow enough, but hey what a heirloom. Has to be a crazy B.C. value. Not many folks cast for the 6mm.

The one I was very interested in of late. A .338 250 gr. originally for the .33 Winchester but gas checked and pressed into service for the .338 Magnum first in manuals around 1960. This one is the desirable "hollow point" version. I'll make a couple pins of differing depth to change character of the bullet from rapid expansion to more controlled, and a "non-HP" pin too. It will be great fun and timely for my new .338 Mag. rifles I'm working with (Ruger Hawkeye and Custom Enfield P17). I'll be using very slow .50 BMG powder with magnum primers to punt the slug northward of 2000 fps. So far that has been a very workable and an accurate combination for large cases. (A box of good jacketed .338 bullets is around $1 a piece now)

Another item to relish from my childhood and treasure from an old sage. I see his notes placed inside and a couple expertly hand made tools to supplement. A neck flaring tool and primer pocket uniformer. I had just decided to keep this one last M94 .30-30 in my collection. There was a plan in play that I had no knowledge of. It's quite the blessing.
