I took it to AK for Black Bear. Worked up a great load with the discontinued 230 gr. Hornady JFP using H322 at 1900 fps. Then I actually SAW a Grizzly Bear in the wild. It was going to eat Doug but he quickly got between me and the guide. Thankfully the bear wanted something less noisy to munch on.
I also banged the end of the barrel on several things, such as the elevated blind steps etc. And I grew tired of carrying it in hand while I moved bushes out of the way (like that horrible, horrible, Devil's Club weed).
Returning, both myself and Dr. Bill Firman ordered identical .375 Win. FA 2008's with the same thoughts. I had my barrel shortened to 12" and a 2" brake added. That made the barrel 1" shorter than original, I'd no longer bang it on anything. Gary also made it more Bear worth by rechambering it to the comforting .375 GNR that shoots a 260 gr. BTSP at 2300+ fps. I also applied a sling system I personally like to use. (Dr. Firman kept a longer 15" profile and had African animals engraved, I had N. American animals engraved).
The action has elements of the RPM-XL and Merrill single shot target pistols but sports a cam extractor and external hammer ignition. The design limits the case head size to about .45-70 specs. Full power loads still kick's like a mule! But it will shoot under MOA if you can hold onto it. Weight is about the same as a G2 Contender but it's bank vault strong. I like Bob Banker, a bunch, and wanted to meld his invention and Gary's fine cartridge and custom work. It's a unique, accurate, and capable hunting rig for the world.

It's a .378 GNR, not .375. BIG DIFFERENCE.
