The companies make up a prototype of a new gun and show it at the show. If they get a lot of orders for it then they build it. If not then they quietly drop the whole idea and deny they ever built one. So those guns were concept guns and maybe they didn't get the response they wanted. Quite often the distributors will get a complete list of guns a company either has in production or may have in production, so that gun may be on the list but not in production.
