Reeder Custom Guns - Ruger says they should have the new Marlins out

by the end of this year. Nothing on which guns they will release first.

Almost assured it'll be 30-30s first.

I'm still hoping for the old hyphenated cartridges in the 1894. As usual I'm probably the minority on that.

The only one I don’t have is the 32 H&R mag.

buy out, like you said, those calibers would probably be way down the line. They need to build a lot of new guns in popular calibers like 30-30 and 45-70 to recoup their expenses. They would also plan the calibers on what ammo is available, if any. If they got a lot of smaller caliber barrels in the buy out they would probably still build guns for whatever ammo is available. That is just good business sense but their bean counters may have the final say so.

I would really like to see 1894's in .480 Ruger and .327 Federal.

action and to drop down from the mag tube into the action. That is why they dropped the 475 Linebaugh from the lineup several years ago. They advertised it and then one of their gunsmiths noticed that the rim was way too wide to go thru the action so they dropped the gun completely.

The only other option is one from Big Horn Armory, they look good but have a price to match.

Linebaugh. I don't imagine Ruger will want to invest even more money into the new company, at least for a while. The 444 wasn't a great seller for the old Marlin so again the bean counters will probably make that decision. The 45-70 frame will handle a lot of calibers up to the 50 Alaskan so not sure there is a market for the 444. My opinion only.

is no more. Marlin is now owned by Ruger. No way of knowing what guns or parts were in the warehouse when it was sold.

owned by Remington) announced they were bringing back the 444. As far as I know none were ever released. Now that Ruger owns Marlin, we can expect some good things to come from them. Some hopefully by the end of this year.
