Power when out Sunday .. ever since then we have had freezing rain that took down trees and limbs, snow, more ice, winds and all of Texas freezing up.

No Mail Service since Saturday. No trash trucks running. Very few gas stations with power so fuel is scarce. Water treatment plants not working so all of Austin is under BOIL ORDER. The only thing that has kept work is the hot air from the politicians and that has not helped!

We have wood heat, generator, plenty of fuel, propane for heat and cooking and our own well. There are thousands that are not so fortunate and have to rely on others for heat, light and water. They are having a hard time.

Our internet has been down until now but we are doing fine. This weather has made me miss African Winters more than ever!
