Actually I don't think it costs anything but you have to sign for it. T-posts and cattle panels, and bait, are provided by the individual. The Game & Fish want to get a count too but the hogs are yours to do whatever. That's what Alan's guys told me.
Some times of the year in AR you could not carry a centerfire gun in the woods. So a .22 WMR was the most powerful technically allowed. That was before concealed or constitutional carry of course. They could say you were poaching with a more powerful arm. Interestingly anything under .22 cal. (.17's and .204 Ruger etc.) used to be illegal to use hunting at all! .22 rimfire or .22 centerfire etc. was the minimum. I'm not sure if they changed that yet.
