in everybody. People seem to be right on the verge of letting loose. Tempers are right on the edge and people are saying and doing things I don't think they would in "normal" times. Colleen has already had to throw several people out of the gun shop for starting crap because we wouldn't let them buy all the 9mm or 45 or whatever we had on the shelves. They get belligerent at the slightest little thing.

A few minutes ago a couple of young know it alls (21 or 22 year old punks) came into the shop and asked if Colleen had any 6.5 Creedmoor. She told him no and one smarted off saying "thats what we figured. This town looks like a 30-06 town anyway". Colleen didn't even answer him, just turned and walked away. If I had been there my Irish temper would have reminded the punks of a few things and probably would have said some things I would have regretted later.

But we are seeing more and more of that attitude in customers. I don't know if that is prevalent in all gun shops or in all businesses but I have never seen folks on edge like this.

Some panic, others get angry, most everyone tries to maintain what they feel is 'normal' though that don't work if the situation drags on and on and on.

We had a saying in Africa that we tried to teach newcomers: "Blessed are the flexible. They shall bend and not break."

We had people who were flexible ..
We had people who learned to be ...
And we had those who broke.

What we are in now will bring out all that and more.

a true Christian brother. He has taught himself, and it is a skill, to do just as you say. When someone treats him nasty and is aggressively agitated he responds the opposite amount in kindness. By golly after a few volleys of this treatment it usually de-escalates the situation and totally disarms the aggression. I have watched him in action. It has gone from someone in his face to exchanging phone numbers and becoming "friends". He always leaves them with his personal blessing and a prayer for God to extend grace to them!

Spencer is something else! I have not yet mastered this "skill" but after seeing it in action I desire to work at it myself. It is some very serious power a man can chose to wield! The power is not of this natural world but is channeled through the spirit. I just wish my words could transfer what I have seen myself.

Surround myself with. I have been blessed by a paddle of my fathers friends who are mostly Vietnam vets and others who have tried to show me the way. I fought them hard for a while. Though it is still difficult, I see the merit in such behavior.

Paddle?? Spell check.

I can't stand rude behavior in a man. I won't tolerate it. ~ Captain Woodrow F. Call - Lonesome Dove.

Gary this is prevalent throughout our society. I have witnesses this and pray for all Americans. All of us "like minded" individuals know what is truly important in life and how to display it.
