largest Free Range Cape Buffalo taken with a handgun. Since then another handgun hunter has beat me. The hide and horns were sent to the taxidermist there for a shoulder mount. One night about midnight (I presume) my hide and horns disappeared. After a month long search we finally came to the conclusion that someone stole them. So the taxidermist is doing the right thing and paying for me another Cape Buffalo. This is my Cape Buffalo. One shot with the 450 GNR and a 500 grain soft point put him down.

So that is first on my agenda. I really don't have anything else in mind as I have taken most of the critters over there except the rest of the Big 5 which I am not interested in. This is my last African hunt so I want to make it a good one. To me just being in Africa with a dozen friends and hunting with my PH who has been a good friend since my first safari back in '92 is the perfect way to spend 2 weeks.
