People would buy it if it was available in the GS.

They want it and will pay whatever. Some dealers are afraid to stock, I can't blame them. Wouldn't want to get hung with any. I saw some boys buy bulk .45 ACP the dealer was sticking in sandwich bags (15) per for $20-25, I was not listening close to price. It was just ball ammo. 22 RF is also in baggies and I think either $5 or $7 a baggie. He can't get enough and he's paying way over retail to resell, just to have something in stock. Primers are available as many as you want online for $20/100. Belly up or go without.

and this

This dealer has baggies of (25) rounds for $7. That's $14/50 or $140 a brick worth. I was whining about $275/5000 last I bought in bulk.

I'm even dabbling in BP stuff again, to get my jollies and not waste my little personal stash. It's not fun anymore when I fret over "wasted" ammo. It needs to count. A pound of Pyrodex, tin of caps, some balls, little bit of grease, I'm good to go for a while. Now guys are even catching on and buying up all the Cap & Ball guns and ML!

our distributors are saying the BP caps are next

on the list of shortages. So grab them while you can.

Long ago on some of my ML rifles I converted them

to fire "Musket Caps" being much larger than the #11 small caps. I know many guys converting inline guns to #209 shotgun primers too. But now I'm hunting up the old original #11 nipples to have the versatility, if I need to go back that way. It pays to be crafty.

Now they have #11 magnum caps
