Took my grand daughter for her appointment Monday morning and the nurse asked her if any guns in the home. Of course she said yes.

Now the Doctor is calling me 3 or 4 times a week asking me where he can get ammo for his gun!

Irritating!

LOL, I like it. It seems Dentists and Eye Dr.

(and Pharmacists) are big shooting fans! To a lesser extend MDs. But for some reason these "specialists" seem to be men's men and really enjoy shooting and hunting. At the Y-O, when Gary used to take us there, were these two Gynecologists members of SCI. Both really a couple of wild nutts, so much fun to get liquored up and bit and telling stories. There is a joke they told me, that I'd have to show you, the difference between a poor Gynecologist and a rich successful one! LOL They were really a hoot.

The elder of the son-in-law duo had been to Africa many times. He swore by the Blaser type rifles and said he had several frames and a couple dozen barrels! Some very interesting characters that bunch was.

I'm a moderator for an online physician gun docs group. Cross section of gun owners and opinions, same as any group only generally better funded. Got guys into ELR, full auto, single actions, antiques, loading, plinking, serious self defense training, combat shooting, hunting, the whole gamut. Lots of military docs and former military in the group, all specialties and geographies represented.

The general doc groups are just reflective of the country- radicals on both sides, a bunch of moderates.

Forgive us for being desensitized to asking invasive questions- it's the job- but anyone is free to decline to answer invasive questions like where the primer honey holes are!

What I posted above was a joke-didn't happen at least to me

Yeah my doctor is a ,pretty good friend of mine I've taken his son deer hunting before I would go in with strep throat or need my knee drained feeling like crap and he would have to show me all the pictures of his new guns and talk about them his nurse would texting and telling you have other patients you know. But he's a really good Christian guy and he saved my life so it's all good, pretty cool when you can call or text and get a response in minutes

Over the years I have been working on race cars and foreign cars with a group of orthopedic surgeons. They claimed it was transferrable muscle memory. One of the guys was a micro surgeon who I remember working his way through school with the rest of us as a carburetor and fuel injection specialist. He was pretty good at working on my 1911 then as well.

thru the years I have had a bunch of Docs and
