A few friends at work said they would like a couple of pigs if I killed any this week while I was off work. So I freshened up some bait sites I have that are being hit and yesterday morning I went out and killed 2. On the ride home I saw another, stoped and talked to the land owner and he said go get em! Made a stalk and killed 1 of those. Then that afternoon killed 2 more at another bait site just at dark!

So that is 5 out of 12 that I saw. I just got back from delivering meat everyone offered money. “Just return my ice chests 1st chance you get! I’m going to need them”. One guy did take a gift out to my truck while I was shooting BB guns with his kids. 2 loaves of banana nut bread and a bag with a box of 308 ammo and 3 boxes of cci stingers. I gave the 22s back, those boys will be needing them soon enough.

Building a trap later today!

Sounds like a great way to

giving those .22's back! You are so right. Those boys will be needing them.

Back in the 1970's we were doing mission work in Mexico. I was a blocklayer in those days and helped build a wing on a hospital that was run by a non-profit mission group.

I always took a box of .22's with me and gave a few shells each to the farmers when we would go out to their farms. They were very grateful for the gifts as it was hard for them to get any.

I worked with some guys from Mexico

They were a great bunch. Young married guys from Mexico, homes in Baytown Texas, and working a a mill here in Louisiana during the week. They always talked about needing 22 bullets back home. It was a very rural area. Their mother would come to visit the Grand babies and smuggle loose bullets back in her boots for dad and grandpa! All they had were 22s and they used them to kill deer pigs coyotes whatever.

excellent.................

How far were the shots? Just curious. It has been ages since I stalked piggies.

2 at about 100 yards and 2 at 25 yards. Those last 2 at 25 were from a blind that I set up for a friend to shoot out of with a crossbow. He has killed 4 there in the last2 weeks.

Well done, good amount of work cleaning 5 hogs
