“If a man does away with his traditional way of living and throws away his good customs, he had better first make certain that he has something of value to replace them.”
-- Robert Ruark --

The Bible says the same thing about an "Empty Vessel"

New King James Version Par ▾
The Messiah’s Triumph and Kingdom

1Why do the [a]nations rage,
And the people plot a [c]vain thing?
2The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed,[d] saying,
3“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
4He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
6“Yet I have [e]set My King
[f]On My holy hill of Zion.”

When I was in high school I can't remember if I was reading by candlelight or kerosene lantern way back then. And I have the movie version taped to watch later. It is certainly a valid quote today as our culture is being forcibly changed with nothing of value replacing what has been for hundreds of years.
