HELLO ALL, I hope you are ALL well !!! Patti and i have just returned from a 10 day visit with Allie.. we arrived a few days after Lindsay had been with her for several days..at this time in Allie's 3 + year battle to BEAT her stage 4 cancer diagnosis, Allie is , once again, undergoing chemo infusions to , hopefully, reduce the size of the tumors in her brain prior to more targeted radiation sessions...... This is the second time for this approach.. After the chemo infusions a few months ago, the radiation treatments did not get rid of the tumors.. They have added additional chemos to the infusion "cocktails" this time and hope to have a better result from the targeted radiation that will most likely begin a month from now as she still has 2-3 more chemo infusions to undergo...There is ALWAYS collateral damage with ALL of her various treatments... ie., terrible damage to her gums and jaw bone that resulted in 6 root canals... now her Dr.s are talking about additional dental work..
..Allie still continues to amaze us with her willingness to face and surmount each "new" challenge in her continued determination to WIN her battle !!! ALL of your prayers and continued support through your notes, gifts, and other "surprises" have lifted her spirits so many many times !!! to find "personal" to her at 3429 Ray Syreet, San Diego CA. 92104 mail amid the flow of "medically " related material in her mailbox is a huge UPLIFT for her...it is hard to believe that her 44th BIRTHDAY is coming up this April 15th !!! Allie was 40 when she was diagnosed... it's hard to realize that 4 birthdays later, she is still hoping and praying to have a "new normal " life to live !!! i would like to have the entire month of April bring something " special" in her mailbox from all of you....a special note lets her know you care and hope the BEST for her... Lindsay will be going over to Allie later in this month . Patti and i will drive over to her in April when our help can be the best for her... take care !
