I was gifted some of those odd bullets

a while back. Totally to my surprise! Thanks my fellow Misfit! So I pulled a few to show for interest.

I think what is happening here is some tinkering with some old C&H bullet swage equipment, or perhaps he had constructed his own. I know he did considerable work with the .444 Marlin and was a fan of both .44 Special and .45 COlt. I also have some C7H dies so I'm empathetic to the possibility of dropping a pre-made plated bullet and mashing it. I can tell he did that as the "pusher" pin ram made varied diameter and deep impressions as the considerable forces made some hollow base impressions. I also think he experimented making 3/4 jackets from some copper tubing. This one example is very good with machine turned base!

There is one treasured "Original PUNCH" Full patch bullet that looks like maybe .475 cal. No calipers in this office.
