Allison Update
Nothing has been easy for Allison these past 3+ years... She was receiving chemo infusions every other week, sometimes every week and getting ready to begin radiation sessions again to get rid of her brain tumors... Things haven't gone as smoothly as we had all hoped and prayed... Allison got a fistula in the area where she had that horrible drain almost 1 &1/2 years ago... she had thought the pain might be a hernia...but, no...not so lucky.. it is a fistula that is now draining and her chemo infusion was cancelled for last Friday... she's hoping to hear that they can come up with another solution as her Dr. said the fistula could drain for 4-6 weeks...All of this has made it very difficult for her to eat even soft foods as nothing is digesting correctly and that results in many many trips to the potty...sending her a "pick me up" note /card for her birthday April 15th [3924 Ray Street, San Diego CA 92104 or thoughtful "surprise" is now even more important to cheer her up as she is back to resting and trying to sleep to ease the discomfort..It would be wonderful for her to receive good wishes all through the month of April... please do keep her in your prayers !! Sister LIndsay is over with her now and we will go on April 16th for at least 10 days... thank you so much for helping to keep Allison's spirits up !!! Stay safe.
