I have never seen anything like it before. I seem to recall in my youth shooting bricks of 22's each Saturday and none of my guns leaded up like that.
I will add that after closer inspection my Ruger Mk4 Lite was leaded up heavy but maybe not as much as the Smith and Wessson 22.
I did scrub both barrels multiple times with a bore brush and then JB Bore Paste. Now both are factory fresh.
I bought the Thunderbolts because they were the only things available. I'll buy another box and as Mr. Taylor pointed out , dip them in some lube .
