It would have been impressive at half the distance! I used to sell many of the little "Davis" Derringers for around $75 a pop. Actually doubling my money as a FFL dealer, this was the mid 1980's. Everyone was happy.

The best seller was the .22 Magnum version that was devastating with the blue capsule CCI snake shot. Actually better than the .45 Colt version! The bigger pellets were much fewer in numbers and a killing blow much less likely, by about 33%! I had one in .32 ACP too that I liked, one in .25 ACP that was novel. I'd still not pass on a deal for one in .22 WMR. I'd give $75 for one now! They were the "small" frame versions, much smaller than the .38 chassis guns.
